Scanmar Maritime Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated 3rd Mate to join our dynamic maritime team. We specialize in manning a diverse fleet, including Oil Tankers, Oilchem Tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, and general cargo vessels. As a 3rd Mate, you will play a crucial role in the safe navigation and efficient operation of our vessels. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in the safe navigation of the vessel in accordance with COLREGs, SOLAS, and company safety management policies.
- Conduct regular safety rounds and ensure all life-saving appliances and fire-fighting equipment are operational.
- Assist in cargo operations, strictly adhering to safety protocols for oil and chemical tankers.
- Maintain proper navigational and deck logs as required by maritime law.
- Participate in emergency drills and training sessions to ensure crew readiness.
- Perform general maintenance duties for deck machinery and equipment.
- Supervise junior crew members during watchkeeping duties.
Kualifikasi
- Valid 3rd Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) issued by MARINA or equivalent authority.
- Valid STCW 2010 certification (Basic Safety, Proficiency in Survival Craft, Fire Fighting, Medical First Aid).
- Proficiency in Navigation, Radar, and ARPA.
- Physical and mental fitness for sea service (Medical Certificate).
- Strong command of the English language (written and verbal).
- Previous experience on Oil or Oilchem tankers is highly preferred.
