Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Procurement Category Manager to join our team in Malang, Jawa Timur. In this role, you will support the procurement function in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization for key categories. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our supply chain is efficient, sustainable, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories to achieve cost savings and supply assurance.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply risks to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Support the tendering process, including preparing RFQs, evaluating bids, and making award recommendations.
- Monitor supplier compliance with quality, sustainability, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and report on key performance indicators.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
