We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our maritime operations team in Indonesia. This is a critical role responsible for the operational excellence and technical maintenance of our high-spec AHTS DP2 vessel, which boasts 12,000 BHP.
As the Chief Engineer, you will lead the engine room department, ensuring that all machinery operates at peak efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and international maritime regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with DP2 systems and a proven track record of managing large-scale offshore vessel machinery. You will play a pivotal role in our fleet's performance, ensuring the vessel meets all operational uptime requirements in challenging offshore environments.
Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery, including the 12,000 BHP propulsion systems.
- Manage and lead the technical crew, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company operational procedures.
- Ensure the vessel remains in compliance with Class, Flag State, and international maritime regulations.
- Monitor and manage fuel consumption and lubricants to optimize operational costs.
- Execute complex technical troubleshooting and emergency repairs while at sea.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and inventory of spare parts and critical equipment.
- Collaborate with the Captain to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations during station-keeping and anchor handling.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Chief Engineer CoC (Class 1 or 2) required.
- Extensive sea time experience specifically on AHTS DP2 vessels.
- Proven technical knowledge of high-horsepower propulsion systems (approx. 12,000 BHP).
- Valid DPVM (Dynamic Positioning Maintenance) certification.
- Current Basic Safety Training (BST) and Advanced Fire Fighting certificates.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multicultural engine room teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
