We are currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Chief Officer to join a dynamic maritime operation in Indonesia. As a key member of the deck department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe navigation, efficient cargo operations, and overall maintenance of the vessel. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities and a deep technical understanding of modern bridge equipment.
You will be responsible for overseeing the deck crew, maintaining strict compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO/SOLAS), and ensuring that all navigational systems, including ARPA and ECDIS, are operating at peak performance. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and supervise the deck department, ensuring all safety protocols and maintenance schedules are strictly followed.
- Maintain full responsibility for the vessel's cargo operations, including loading, discharge, and stability calculations.
- Operate and oversee the maintenance of bridge navigational equipment, including ARPA, Radar, and ECDIS systems.
- Conduct regular safety drills and training for the crew to ensure emergency preparedness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws, including STCW and ISM Code regulations.
- Manage the maintenance of deck machinery, mooring equipment, and lifesaving appliances.
- Collaborate closely with the Master to ensure the vessel’s operational efficiency and navigational safety.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Chief Officer (Deck) Class 1 or 2.
- Extensive experience with ARPA, Radar, and ECDIS simulators and operational systems.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a multicultural deck crew.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English for professional communication.
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations at sea.
