Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Head Cook and other kitchen staff in the preparation and cooking of a variety of local Malaysian dishes.
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations.
- Manage daily mise en place, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and portioning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report stock shortages to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support dishwashing and general kitchen cleanup tasks as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during peak hours.
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience (minimum 1-2 years) as a Cook Assistant or similar role in a hotel, café, or restaurant kitchen.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability in preparing a wide range of local Malaysian food.
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene principles (HACCP or similar certification is a plus).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Punctual, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic.
