Join the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Deputy/Assistant Director in Financial Advisers Supervision. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and stability of Singapore's financial markets by overseeing financial advisory institutions. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the licensing, approval, and ongoing supervision of financial advisory firms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk-based inspections and on-site visits to assess the operational resilience and risk management practices of advisory institutions.
- Lead investigations into potential breaches of the Financial Advisers Act (FAA) and other relevant financial regulations.
- Engage with industry stakeholders, including representatives from the Financial Advisers Industry Council (FAIC), to promote good governance and best practices.
- Develop, review, and update supervisory guidelines and policy frameworks to reflect evolving market trends and regulatory needs.
- Analyze market intelligence and trends to proactively identify emerging risks within the financial advisory sector.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management regarding enforcement actions and regulatory interventions.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in financial regulation, banking supervision, or a similar role within a central bank or financial regulator.
- Strong working knowledge of the Financial Advisers Act (FAA), Securities and Futures Act (SFA), and other relevant financial services legislation.
- Proven track record in conducting supervisory reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory investigations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team environment.
