The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental is seeking a dedicated and proactive Environmental Management Specialist II to join our team in the Bicol Region. This role is pivotal in driving our regional environmental sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with national regulations, and implementing innovative strategies to protect our natural resources.
As an Environmental Management Specialist II, you will serve as a key technical authority, providing expert analysis, conducting site assessments, and collaborating with local government units to foster sustainable development. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct regular environmental monitoring and site inspections to ensure compliance with local and national environmental laws.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for regional projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement waste management programs and pollution control strategies.
- Facilitate public awareness campaigns regarding environmental conservation and disaster risk reduction.
- Provide technical assistance to local government units (LGUs) in drafting environmental ordinances and policies.
- Analyze environmental data to identify trends, hazards, and areas requiring immediate remedial intervention.
- Represent the agency in regional meetings, technical working groups, and inter-agency consultations.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in environmental management, planning, or policy research.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, including PD 1586 (EIS System) and RA 9003 (Solid Waste Management Act).
- Proficiency in technical report writing and data analysis software (GIS knowledge is a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse community stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in field environments and travel to remote project locations as required.
