PT Kuala Pelabuhan Indonesia is currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused General Superintendent for Marine Operations to lead our strategic initiatives at our port facility in Freeport, Papua. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entirety of marine operations, ensuring maximum efficiency, strict adherence to maritime safety regulations, and the seamless integration of logistics workflows.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, managing large-scale maritime teams and coordinating complex port activities. You will play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence in one of Indonesia's most vital logistical hubs. Tanggung Jawab
- Direct and manage all daily marine and port operations to ensure productivity and safety standards are met.
- Enforce strict compliance with international maritime laws, port regulations, and internal safety protocols (HSE).
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of marine personnel and port staff to optimize operational output.
- Oversee vessel scheduling, berthing procedures, and cargo handling operations to minimize turnaround times.
- Develop and implement operational budgets and strategic improvement plans for port facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve logistical bottlenecks and streamline supply chain processes.
- Prepare comprehensive performance reports for senior management regarding port throughput and operational efficiency.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine operations, port management, or a related maritime leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Transportation, or a related field (Master Mariner certification is highly preferred).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale port operations, preferably in remote or industrial environments like Papua.
- In-depth knowledge of ISM Code, ISPS Code, and local Indonesian maritime regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-stakes decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multicultural teams effectively.
- Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
