The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is seeking a highly accomplished Group Leader to spearhead our Antibody-Oligonucleotide Conjugate (AOC) platform. Within our Nucleotide Assembly and Therapeutics Initiative (NATi), you will lead a multidisciplinary team focused on overcoming the critical barrier of extrahepatic delivery.
In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between antibody engineering and RNA therapeutic design. You will be responsible for developing next-generation conjugate technologies that enhance cellular uptake and endosomal escape in non-liver tissues. - Lead and mentor a research team focused on the design and optimization of Antibody-Oligonucleotide Conjugates (AOCs).
- Develop innovative strategies to achieve tissue-specific delivery of RNA therapeutics to extrahepatic targets.
- Oversee the synthesis, characterization, and in vitro/in vivo functional validation of novel conjugates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate antibody engineering with oligonucleotide synthesis.
- Manage laboratory resources, project timelines, and strategic partnerships to meet NATi development milestones.
- Drive the publication of high-impact research findings and contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the agency.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster innovation in the field of nucleotide therapeutics.
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in therapeutic delivery platforms.
- Expertise in bioconjugation chemistry (e.g., linkers, site-specific labeling) and receptor-mediated uptake mechanisms.
- Deep understanding of RNAi, antisense oligonucleotides, or mRNA therapeutic platforms.
- Proven record of scientific leadership, including team supervision and project management experience.
- Strong background in data analysis, experimental design, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex research goals to diverse audiences.
