Are you a skilled linguist with a passion for cross-cultural communication? Peoplebank is seeking a professional Japanese Translator for a prestigious 2-day event held in Singapore’s Central Region. This is a high-impact freelance opportunity for a dedicated translator to facilitate seamless communication between Japanese-speaking delegates and local stakeholders.
The event is scheduled for July 2nd and 3rd, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are looking for individuals who possess not only exceptional linguistic abilities but also the professional etiquette required to represent high-level corporate interests. Tanggung Jawab
- Provide accurate consecutive or simultaneous interpretation between Japanese and English during meetings and presentations.
- Facilitate smooth communication and cultural mediation between Japanese delegates and event organizers.
- Assist in translating written materials, signage, or presentation slides on-site as required.
- Support Q&A sessions by ensuring nuances and technical terms are correctly conveyed.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive business discussions.
- Accompany delegates during networking sessions to ensure they are fully engaged in the event proceedings.
- Act as a point of contact for any language-related inquiries during the 2-day schedule.
Kualifikasi
- Professional fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken).
- JLPT N1 certification or equivalent professional translation qualification is highly preferred.
- Prior experience as a translator or interpreter for corporate events or international conferences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of Japanese business etiquette and cultural norms.
- Ability to commit to the full event schedule: July 2-3, 2026, 9am - 6pm.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical or industry-specific terminology.
