Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and enforce all occupational health and safety protocols specifically for maintenance and engineering activities.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of machinery, tools, and maintenance work sites to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment (HIRARC) for all high-risk maintenance tasks.
- Manage and supervise the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring all contractors and internal staff comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Lead accident and incident investigations related to maintenance, providing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions and tool-box talks for the maintenance team to enhance safety awareness.
- Collaborate with the EHS department to ensure the plant remains in full compliance with DOSH, DOE, and other local regulatory requirements.
Kualifikasi
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in a safety role within a heavy manufacturing or metal processing environment.
- Valid certification as a Safety and Health Officer (SHO) registered with DOSH (Green Book) is highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian OSH Act 1994, FMA 1967, and relevant environmental regulations.
- Proven experience in handling Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and working at height safety protocols.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to communicate safety requirements effectively to staff at all levels.
- Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage given our global operations.
