Join Singapore Art Museum in a pivotal dual-track leadership position that bridges the worlds of collections stewardship and scholarly interpretation. As Manager (Collections and Interpretation), you will spearhead the strategic management of the museum's prestigious art collections while driving innovative research initiatives that deepen public engagement with cultural heritage. - Oversee comprehensive collections management including documentation, inventory control, and preventive conservation
- Lead research initiatives to uncover contextual narratives and scholarly significance of artworks
- Develop interpretive frameworks for exhibitions, public programs, and digital content
- Coordinate cross-departmental projects with curatorial, conservation, and education teams
- Implement collections-based research methodologies and academic partnerships
- Manage budgets and resources for collections care and interpretation projects
- Mentor staff in collections management best practices and interpretive techniques
Kualifikasi
- Master's degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in collections management and art research
- Proven expertise in developing interpretive content for diverse audiences
- Strong knowledge of art conservation principles and museum standards
- Experience managing budgets and resources for cultural projects
- Excellent analytical research and writing skills
- Cross-functional collaboration abilities with museum professionals
