South Pole, a global leader in climate solutions and carbon project development, is seeking an experienced Manager for Jurisdictional REDD+ (J-REDD+) to join our dynamic team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of the transition to net-zero, providing high-level technical expertise to drive jurisdictional carbon asset development and large-scale feasibility initiatives.
You will work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, and internal project developers to ensure our J-REDD+ programs meet the highest integrity standards within compliance carbon markets. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the development and implementation of J-REDD+ programs, ensuring compliance with international standards and jurisdictional requirements.
- Conduct rigorous technical feasibility assessments for large-scale jurisdictional carbon initiatives.
- Manage relationships with key government stakeholders and public sector partners to facilitate program success.
- Provide technical oversight on MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) processes and carbon credit issuance.
- Analyze regulatory trends in global compliance carbon markets to refine our project development strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate J-REDD+ assets into broader climate transition solutions.
- Prepare high-quality technical documentation, policy briefings, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Kualifikasi
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Climate Policy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in carbon markets, with a specific focus on REDD+ or land-use projects.
- Strong understanding of jurisdictional carbon frameworks, including ART TREES or similar standards.
- Proven ability to manage technical projects and multi-stakeholder partnerships in a cross-cultural environment.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical climate data into strategic insights.
- Experience in policy advisory, government relations, or large-scale sustainability consultancy is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to key REDD+ jurisdictions are a plus.
