PT. Dongin Prabhawa is seeking a strategic and visionary Manager for Research and Development (Litbang) to lead innovation within our oil palm plantation operations in Boven Digoel, South Papua. This is a mission-critical role for an experienced agricultural professional passionate about sustainable farming practices, high-yield cultivation, and advanced soil management techniques.
As our R&D Manager, you will be the driving force behind the optimization of our plantation productivity. You will oversee experimental trials, analyze complex agronomic data, and implement cutting-edge solutions to overcome regional cultivation challenges. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute comprehensive R&D roadmaps focused on increasing Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis) yield and operational efficiency.
- Conduct systematic field trials, including fertilizer optimization, pest and disease management, and soil nutrition analysis.
- Monitor and analyze plantation performance metrics to identify areas for genetic and mechanical improvement.
- Lead and mentor a team of field researchers and agronomists to ensure best practices are strictly followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to integrate research findings into daily plantation operations.
- Ensure all research activities comply with industry sustainability standards and environmental regulations.
- Prepare technical reports and present data-driven recommendations to the management team.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, or related Agricultural fields.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in Oil Palm plantation R&D.
- Proven track record of improving crop productivity and managing large-scale agricultural projects.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in statistical analysis software for agricultural data.
- Willingness to be stationed in Boven Digoel, Papua Selatan, and adapt to remote operational environments.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams in challenging field conditions.
- Strong proficiency in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal.
