Tanggung Jawab
- Plan diverse and balanced menus for all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and snacks, considering dietary needs and preferences of the crew.
- Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious, and appetizing meals daily for all crew members onboard a specialty heavylift vessel.
- Manage galley operations efficiently, including inventory control, provisioning, stock rotation, and waste management to minimize spoilage.
- Ensure strict adherence to international food safety standards, hygiene protocols (e.g., HACCP, STCW), and cleanliness in the galley and storage areas.
- Maintain accurate records of provisions, supplies, and expenditures, managing the galley budget effectively.
- Operate and maintain all galley equipment safely and report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Collaborate with the Master and other crew members to ensure smooth operations and crew welfare.
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably with at least 2-3 years of experience in a marine, offshore, or institutional catering environment.
- Must possess a valid Schengen Visa, ensuring eligibility for international travel on the vessel's trade routes.
- Relevant culinary certifications, diplomas, or vocational training from a recognized institution.
- Up-to-date STCW certifications, including Basic Safety Training, Ship Security Awareness Training, and Medical First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of international food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and galley hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and adapt to challenging maritime conditions and extended periods at sea.
- Good physical health, stamina, and ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical examination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multicultural crew.
