About the Role
As BYD Automotive continues its rapid expansion into the Indonesian market, we are seeking a highly organized and analytical Material Control Specialist to join our manufacturing hub in Subang. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials required for our cutting-edge electric vehicle production lines. You will be at the heart of our supply chain operations, bridging the gap between procurement, production, and logistics.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and a proven track record in inventory optimization. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage and monitor daily inventory levels to ensure zero production downtime due to material shortages.
- Coordinate with international and local suppliers to track shipments and expedite urgent material requirements.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) to maintain accurate records of material movements and stock levels.
- Perform demand forecasting and material requirement planning (MRP) based on production schedules.
- Implement and oversee Kanban and Just-In-Time (JIT) systems to optimize warehouse space and cash flow.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to manage non-conforming materials and returns to vendors.
- Analyze supply chain bottlenecks and propose data-driven solutions to improve overall efficiency.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in material control or inventory management, specifically within the automotive or heavy manufacturing industry.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP software (SAP/MM module preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and JIT principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage for communication with headquarters.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
