Join the team at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Singapore's largest acute tertiary hospital, as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (Cytology). In this contract position, you will be instrumental in the diagnostic process, performing critical laboratory tests and ensuring the highest standards of patient care through accurate laboratory results.
You will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including the preparation of various media types, the meticulous reception and processing of specimens, and the execution of complex laboratory tests. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform routine and specialized cytological examinations on patient specimens to assist in diagnosis.
- Prepare reagents, stains, culture media, and other laboratory solutions as required.
- Receive, label, and process incoming patient specimens according to strict laboratory protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes and automated analyzers.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control measures and safety standards (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory tests and results.
- Participate in departmental audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Kualifikasi
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or Biomedical Science.
- Certification/Registration as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (e.g., MT(Singapore) or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Relevant experience in Cytology is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety, biohazard protocols, and quality assurance.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
