- Prepare and process tissue specimens for histological examination following standard laboratory protocols
- Perform microtomy to create thin tissue sections for mounting on slides
- Apply various staining techniques to enhance tissue visibility and highlight specific structures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including microtomes, stainers, and embedding centers
- Analyze tissue samples under microscope and document findings accurately
- Ensure quality control measures are followed to maintain laboratory standards
- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate results
- Participate in laboratory quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, or related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with relevant histology specialization
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in histology laboratory setting
- Strong knowledge of histological techniques, staining procedures, and laboratory protocols
- Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment including microtomes, tissue processors, and stainers
- Attention to detail and precision in specimen handling and analysis
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
