Tanggung Jawab
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures across diverse patient demographics
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and transportation maintaining chain of custody protocols
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment including vacutainers, needles, and safety devices
- Implement infection control measures and biohazard waste disposal procedures
- Document collection activities accurately in laboratory information management systems
- Provide patient education regarding pre-test preparation and procedure details
- Participate in quality assurance audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Kualifikasi
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or related biomedical field
- Certification from Singapore's Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' clinical phlebotomy experience in hospital setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for pediatric, geriatric, and special populations
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to reduce patient anxiety
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
