Adaro Logistics is currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-oriented Port Captain to join our expanding team in Kalimantan Selatan. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our maritime operations, ensuring that all vessel activitiesâranging from tug and barge movements to complex transshipment processesâare executed with maximum efficiency, safety, and compliance.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between our shore-based management and vessel crews. You will be responsible for overseeing loading and discharging sequences, monitoring port performance metrics, and mitigating operational risks in a fast-paced logistics environment. Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise all vessel operations, including tug and barge movements, to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Oversee transshipment, loading, and discharging activities to optimize cargo turnaround time.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with international maritime safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with port authorities, agents, and terminal managers to facilitate smooth port calls.
- Monitor vessel performance and provide detailed reports on operational efficiency and downtime.
- Implement proactive measures to manage marine risks and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Maintain clear, effective communication between the vessel command and shore-based logistics teams.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maritime operations or as a Port Captain/Marine Superintendent.
- Holding a valid Class 1 or Class 2 Deck Officer Certificate of Competency (COC).
- Strong knowledge of local and international maritime regulations (ISM Code, ISPS, SOLAS).
- Proven experience in handling dry bulk transshipment and barge logistics.
- Excellent leadership, crisis management, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency in report writing and utilizing maritime monitoring software.
- Willingness to be stationed in Kalimantan Selatan and perform field duties as required.
