Tri Sukses Wanatama is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Port Captain to join our maritime operations team in Jakarta. As a pivotal link between shore-based management and our fleet, the Port Captain ensures that all vessel operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with international and local maritime regulations. This role is ideal for a seasoned maritime professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of vessel husbandry and port logistics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational readiness of our fleet, managing port stay efficiencies, and upholding the highest standards of the International Safety Management (ISM) code. You will work closely with ship masters, port authorities, and internal stakeholders to optimize turnaround times while maintaining an uncompromising stance on safety and environmental protection. Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise all vessel operations within the port to ensure safe and efficient loading, discharging, and turnaround.
- Conduct regular ship inspections to ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL regulations.
- Coordinate with Port Authorities, agents, and stevedores to facilitate smooth vessel movements and cargo operations.
- Monitor vessel performance and provide technical guidance to Ship Masters and crew regarding navigation and safety.
- Manage operational budgets and optimize costs related to port stays and vessel maintenance.
- Investigate maritime incidents or near-misses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure all vessel documentation and certifications are up to date and valid.
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergency response and shore-side support for the fleet.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of a Master Mariner (ANT I) certification with significant sea-going experience as a Captain.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Port Captain or Marine Superintendent role within the shipping industry.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime laws, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and local Indonesian shipping regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills in both Indonesian and English (written and verbal).
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills for optimizing port logistics.
- Proficiency in maritime software and standard office applications.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours based on vessel schedules.
