PT Samudera Maritime Indonesia is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Port Engineer to join our expanding technical team in Jakarta. As a critical member of our maritime operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of our vessel fleet and port equipment. The ideal candidate brings extensive technical expertise in shipboard machinery, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance protocols.
In this role, you will lead technical inspections, coordinate repairs, and ensure that all maintenance activities align with international maritime standards and company regulations. You will collaborate closely with port operations and crew management to minimize vessel downtime and optimize performance across our maritime infrastructure.
Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of ship electrical machinery and generator systems.
- Conduct regular technical inspections of vessels to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximize the operational lifespan of port equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and shipyard personnel for major overhauls and technical projects.
- Manage technical documentation, maintenance logs, and budgetary reporting for engineering projects.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical failures, providing efficient solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
- Provide technical guidance and training to onboard crew and junior engineering staff.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Port Engineer or Senior Marine Engineer.
- Strong expertise in generator systems, propulsion systems, and ship electrical infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and safety protocols (SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage technical teams and multi-vendor projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Indonesian (both verbal and written).
- Proficiency in computer-aided maintenance management software (CMMS) and MS Office suite.
