About the Opportunity
Are you a driven student looking to kickstart your career in Private Equity? Schroders, a prestigious FTSE 100 global asset manager, is offering an exceptional Student Trainee opportunity within its dynamic Private Equity team in Singapore. This is a hands-on, six-month internship (June - December) designed to provide deep exposure to the full investment lifecycle in one of the world's fastest-growing financial hubs.
The Role
As a Student Trainee in Private Equity, you will become a core member of our investment team, contributing directly to deal sourcing, financial analysis, and portfolio management. You will support the team in evaluating primary fund investments, co-investments, and direct deals across the Asia Pacific region.

You will engage in rigorous financial modeling (LBO, DCF), conduct comprehensive market research, perform due diligence on potential deals, and prepare materials for our investment committee. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and evaluating private equity investment opportunities across Asia Pacific.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including LBO, DCF, and comparable company analysis.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to support investment due diligence.
- Prepare investment committee memoranda, presentations, and supporting materials.
- Monitor the financial and operational performance of existing portfolio companies.
- Track industry trends, macroeconomic developments, and regulatory changes impacting the private markets landscape.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Legal, Risk, Operations) to support deal execution.
Kualifikasi
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong academic track record and demonstrable interest in financial markets and investing.
- Prior internship experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques (DCF, LBO, NAV, multiples).
- Excellent analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in an Asian language is a plus.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or Preqin is advantageous.
