Eastern Soldar Engineering & Construction is seeking a dedicated and experienced QC Inspector / Supervisor (Tank & Piping) to join our dynamic project team in Pengerang, Johor. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all tank fabrication and piping installation works meet the highest industry standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will oversee day-to-day inspection activities, coordinate with client representatives, and supervise site implementation of quality protocols. Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise and conduct daily inspections of tank fabrication, piping installation, and structural alignment to ensure adherence to approved drawings and project specifications.
- Prepare, implement, and maintain Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
- Witness and document welding inspections, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities.
- Identify, document, and report any non-conformances (NCRs), coordinating corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate closely with client inspectors, third-party inspection agencies, and production teams to facilitate smooth quality clearances.
- Ensure all quality records, test packages, and manufacturing data books (MDB) are accurately compiled and systematically filed.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of active experience in QA/QC inspection focusing on tanks and piping systems within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries.
- Valid certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI) is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME Sec IX, B31.3, API 650, and AWS D1.1.
- Proficient in interpreting isometric drawings, P&IDs, and welding symbols.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage on-site quality discussions professionally.
- Willingness to work on-site in Pengerang, Johor under a contract arrangement.
