Galaksi Indo Marine is a premier shipbuilding and marine engineering company located in the strategic industrial hub of Batam. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QC Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of vessel construction to ensure all projects meet stringent international maritime safety standards, Class requirements, and our internal high-quality benchmarks.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in marine structural integrity, welding inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT). You will act as the bridge between production teams, project engineers, and external Class surveyors to ensure operational excellence and zero-defect delivery. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control policies and procedures in accordance with shipbuilding standards.
- Oversee daily inspection activities for hull, machinery, electrical, and piping systems to ensure compliance with Class rules (e.g., BV, ABS, DNV, BKI).
- Lead and mentor the quality inspection team, providing technical guidance on complex engineering issues.
- Manage technical documentation, material certifications, and NDT reports throughout the construction process.
- Coordinate closely with external surveyors and classification societies for stage inspections and final sea trials.
- Monitor and analyze non-conformance reports (NCRs) and execute effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure all welding procedures and welder certifications are up-to-date and strictly followed on the shop floor.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in quality management within the shipbuilding or offshore construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of International Class rules and maritime safety regulations.
- Certified in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP or AWS) and NDT methods (PT, MT, UT, RT) is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
- Proficiency in reading complex technical drawings, P&IDs, and structural schematics.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia to interact with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
