Deskripsi Pekerjaan
Are you ready to shape the future of sustainable food? The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is seeking a passionate Research Officer to join the Tissue Bioengineering & Therapeutics (TBT) Lab at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) in Singapore. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking project focused on engineering cultivated chicken fat in vitro.
As part of a multidisciplinary team at the forefront of Singapore's cellular agriculture ecosystem, you will work on developing scalable, high-quality cultured fat products. Your research will directly support the global protein transition by advancing alternative protein technologies that are both sustainable and commercially viable. Singapore is a world leader in cultivated meat regulation and innovation, and A*STAR is central to this mission.
In this hands-on laboratory role, you will explore innovative biomaterials, refine differentiation protocols, and characterize the biochemical and physical properties of cultured fat. You will gain exposure to state-of-the-art tissue engineering platforms, bioreactors, and cell biology techniques. The TBT Lab values creativity, rigor, and collaboration, providing an ideal environment for career growth in the burgeoning field of cellular agriculture.
We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with strong cell culture expertise and a keen interest in applying tissue engineering principles to food production. If you are eager to make a tangible impact on global food systems and thrive in a dynamic, world-class research setting, we invite you to apply.
