Join the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) as a Scientist or Senior Scientist in Biotherapeutics Development (BTI). In this pivotal role, you will contribute directly to our biotherapeutics development pipeline, advancing research capabilities alongside leading industry partners. You will drive innovation in antibody engineering, protein design, and cell-based assays, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to translate discoveries into therapeutic candidates.

Key responsibilities include leading project workstreams, designing and executing experiments, analyzing complex datasets, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of biotherapeutics candidates (antibodies, fusion proteins, etc.)
- Conduct hands-on experiments including molecular cloning, protein expression, purification, and characterization
- Develop and validate cell-based assays to assess potency, specificity, and immunogenicity
- Collaborate with internal teams and external industry partners to advance pipeline projects
- Analyze and interpret data, prepare technical reports, and present findings at meetings and conferences
- Mentor junior scientists and research associates, fostering a culture of scientific rigor and innovation
- Contribute to research proposals, grant applications, and technology transfer activities
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related field; equivalent experience with an MSc and relevant industry experience will be considered
- Minimum 3 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in biotherapeutics or protein engineering (5+ years for Senior Scientist level)
- Strong expertise in recombinant protein expression systems (mammalian, bacterial, or yeast) and purification techniques (affinity, SEC, IEX)
- Hands-on experience with biophysical characterization (SPR, DSC, DSF, HPLC) and cell-based functional assays
- Proven track record of scientific publications, patents, or successful project deliveries
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong communication and writing skills for documentation, reporting, and collaborative discussions
