Diamond H Marine Svcs. & Shipping Agency Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-oriented Second Engineer to join our expanding fleet of container ships. As a Second Engineer, you will play a critical role in the engine room department, ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of all vessel machinery.
You will be working on container feeder vessels, requiring a strong background in main engine operations, auxiliary machinery, and strict adherence to MARPOL and safety protocols. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the management and operation of the engine department.
- Supervise engine room watch-keeping duties and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of main propulsion engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
- Manage engine room spare parts inventory and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
- Oversee bunkering operations and fuel transfer procedures with strict adherence to safety standards.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers, oilers, and engine room ratings.
- Implement and monitor the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) to ensure vessel uptime.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as Second Engineer (Management Level).
- Extensive experience working on Container Vessels/Container Feeder Trade.
- Proficient knowledge of MAN B&W or Wärtsilä engine systems.
- Complete set of updated STCW certifications and valid Medical Certificate.
- Strong commitment to safety management systems and pollution prevention (MARPOL).
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
