PT Temas Shipping is a leading maritime logistics company in Indonesia, currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Second Engineer to join our expanding fleet of container vessels powered by LNG fuel systems. This is a critical role responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the vessel's propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery.
As a Second Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring vessel uptime and operational excellence. We are looking for a technical expert who is proficient in modern engine room management, specifically with dual-fuel or LNG-ready propulsion systems. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to maintain the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and technical performance in accordance with international maritime regulations.

Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of main engines, specifically LNG-powered propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery.
- Supervise the engine room department, ensuring all junior engineers and ratings perform tasks safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and record engine performance parameters to ensure optimal fuel efficiency and system reliability.
- Manage the bunkering operations, specifically focusing on LNG transfer procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive inventory records for engine room spare parts, lubricants, and chemicals.
- Ensure all engine department activities comply with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and company HSE policies.
- Perform regular inspections of critical machinery to prevent unplanned downtime and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to junior crew members to maintain high standards of operational competence.
Kualifikasi
- Hold a valid Certificate of Competency (COC) Class II Marine Engineer or higher (Unlimited).
- Proven track record of sea service as a Second Engineer on container vessels.
- Extensive experience working with LNG-fuelled engines or dual-fuel machinery is highly preferred.
- Valid STCW certificates and relevant maritime medical certification.
- Deep understanding of modern marine engineering automation systems and PMS software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) to interact with international crew and port authorities.
- Committed to safety culture and environmental sustainability in maritime operations.
