Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Senior Assistant Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to lead our environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
In this critical leadership role, you will be the driving force behind a robust safety culture that protects our staff, patients, and visitors. You will take ownership of the hospital's EHS management system, ensuring full compliance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, NEA regulations, and international standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Your expertise will directly contribute to the delivery of excellent healthcare by proactively mitigating risks and fostering a sustainable, safe environment.
As a key member of the Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with clinical and non-clinical departments to integrate safety into daily operations. From managing hazardous materials and biological waste to leading emergency preparedness drills and incident investigations, your strategic oversight will be vital. You will also mentor a team of safety professionals, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and report directly to senior management on EHS performance. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 frameworks.
- Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement robust preventive and corrective actions.
- Drive workplace safety and health (WSH) programs and initiatives, promoting a proactive and positive safety culture across all hospital departments.
- Ensure strict compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, NEA requirements, and healthcare-specific safety standards (e.g., SS 651).
- Manage the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, chemicals, and biological waste within a clinical environment.
- Coordinate comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plans, including fire safety, chemical spills, and business continuity exercises.
- Prepare and present detailed EHS performance reports, identifying trends, risks, and strategic improvement opportunities for senior management review.
- Provide expert guidance and conduct targeted training sessions to enhance EHS competency and awareness among all hospital staff.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in EHS management, ideally within a hospital, healthcare, or highly regulated environment.
- Certified Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with a valid registration with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
- Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and/or ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the Singapore WSH Act, Code of Practice, and relevant environmental public health regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex safety data and drive evidence-based continuous improvement.
- Experience in managing safety aspects of clinical, laboratory, or bio-safety environments is a strong advantage.
