Join the prestigious Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) Tam Lab as a Senior Bioinformatician and contribute to cutting-edge cancer research initiatives. This pivotal role involves integrating multi-omics data including genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, and proteomics to decode complex biological mechanisms driving cancer progression and treatment resistance. You'll develop computational frameworks to analyze high-throughput sequencing data, identify biomarkers, and translate findings into clinically actionable insights. Collaborate closely with molecular biologists and clinicians to validate computational predictions in experimental settings. Tanggung Jawab
- Design and implement bioinformatics pipelines for large-scale omics data analysis
- Integrate genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics data to identify cancer biomarkers
- Develop machine learning models for predicting treatment response and disease outcomes
- Collaborate with wet-lab researchers to validate computational findings experimentally
- Contribute to grant proposals and research publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior bioinformaticians and computational biologists
- Stay current with emerging bioinformatics tools and methodologies
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field with 3+ years' experience
- Expert proficiency in Python, R, and shell scripting for data analysis
- Deep knowledge of genomics data analysis (NGS, WGS, RNA-seq)
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning in biological contexts
- Familiarity with cancer biology and oncology research methodologies
- Strong publication record in bioinformatics or genomics journals
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
