Wani Resources Indonesia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geologist to join our expanding exploration team in Landak, Kalimantan Barat. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing expert geological oversight, interpreting complex data sets, and driving the success of our mining operations. We are looking for a visionary professional who thrives in field-based environments and is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency in natural resource extraction.
As a Senior Geologist, you will lead field exploration programs, mentor junior geological staff, and ensure all reporting complies with industry standards (JORC/NI 43-101). This position offers a unique opportunity to work on significant geological projects in one of Indonesia's most resource-rich regions, contributing directly to the strategic goals of Wani Resources Indonesia.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and supervise field exploration activities, including geological mapping, drill rig oversight, and core logging.
- Develop and manage comprehensive geological models to support resource estimation and reserve planning.
- Ensure the highest quality of QA/QC protocols for all sampling and analytical laboratory processes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior geologists and field technicians to foster professional growth.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and geological summaries for management and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with mining engineers to optimize pit design based on precise geological interpretation.
- Monitor and enforce strict compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards at all sites.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in the mining or exploration industry.
- Deep understanding of Indonesian geological formations, specifically in mineral exploration.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Vulcan, Surpac, Micromine, or Leapfrog.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in remote site locations and manage diverse field teams.
- Professional certification (e.g., PERHAPI or equivalent) is highly regarded.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Indonesian and English.
