PCI is a leading technology-driven manufacturing partner, and we are looking for a highly analytical and driven (Senior) Material Value Proposition Engineer to join our high-performing team in Batam. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving product cost-efficiency, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and execute key savings initiatives.
As a crucial member of our engineering division, you will lead Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) projects from conceptualization through to manufacturing implementation. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead end-to-end VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) projects from initial ideation to successful execution.
- Develop, validate, and maintain accurate target cost models for raw materials, components, and assemblies.
- Analyze product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving and efficiency-improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, R&D, Quality, and Operations teams to implement material cost-down strategies.
- Manage key stakeholders and facilitate technical workshops to drive cost-saving ideas and product optimizations.
- Evaluate supplier technical proposals, alternative materials, and secondary sources to achieve cost and lead-time advantages.
- Track, monitor, and report project savings and cost-reduction KPIs to senior management regularly.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in engineering design, VAVE, or technical cost engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering successful material cost-reduction projects.
- Strong understanding of component manufacturing processes, material properties, and supply chain cost structures.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in cost-modeling tools, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
- Self-motivated team player capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
