Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), a leading healthcare provider in the North-East Region, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Patient Service Associate to join our Pre-Operative & Admitting Services team. This is an exciting 1-year contract role where you will play a vital part in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients and their families.
As a Senior Patient Service Associate, you will be the primary point of contact for patients during the crucial admission and pre-operative phases. You will oversee administrative operations, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and uphold the highest standards of professional customer service. In this senior capacity, you will take ownership of complex cases, act as a key liaison between patients and clinical staff, and mentor junior associates to foster a culture of service excellence. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the complete administrative cycle for patient admissions and pre-operative processes, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide excellent, empathetic customer service to patients and their families, addressing inquiries and offering clear guidance on admission procedures, pre-operative instructions, and hospital stay logistics.
- Coordinate closely with clinical staff, including nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, to facilitate efficient patient flow, bed management, and surgical scheduling.
- Process billing, payments, and insurance claims for admitting and pre-operative services with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update patient records meticulously, safeguarding confidentiality and data integrity in accordance with PDPA guidelines.
- Support service recovery and manage feedback with professionalism, escalating complex issues appropriately to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
- Assist in the training, orientation, and coaching of new or junior team members, sharing best practices to elevate overall team performance.
- Participate actively in quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and patient-centric nature of the admitting services.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma in any discipline, preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within a hospital, clinic, or healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong command of spoken and written English. Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) is highly advantageous for serving our diverse community.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with hospital information systems (e.g., SAP, Epic, or similar healthcare software) is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Impeccable attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a high degree of empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Customer-service oriented with a positive, team-player attitude and a proactive approach to work.
- Willingness to work staggered hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the operational demands of the department.
