Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our prestigious R&D division. This role is pivotal in advancing our research capabilities in power electronics, energy conversion, and power systems engineering.
As a Senior Research Scientist, you will spearhead cutting-edge projects, mentor junior researchers, and collaborate with industry partners to drive innovation in high-efficiency power architectures. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary research projects in the field of power electronics and power systems.
- Design, simulate, and prototype advanced power converter topologies and control algorithms.
- Identify and secure grant funding from government bodies and industrial partners.
- Publish high-impact research papers in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to PhD students and junior research staff.
- Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring rigorous safety standards and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics systems into larger grid architectures.
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven track record of research excellence with a strong publication portfolio.
- Extensive experience with power simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, PLECS).
- Deep expertise in wide-bandgap (WBG) materials such as GaN and SiC.
- Strong background in hardware development, including PCB design and electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in managing research projects and meeting strict technical milestones.
