We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Litigation Counsel to join our highly regarded Global Litigation team in Singapore. In this critical role, you will manage a diverse and complex portfolio of pre-litigation claims and active lawsuits across the Asia Pacific region. Your primary mission will be to protect CBRE’s assets and reputation by vigorously defending the company while finding creative, cost-effective business solutions.
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Global Litigation, you will serve as a trusted advisor to internal business partners, regional leadership, and cross-functional teams. You will take ownership of significant litigation matters, from strategy development through resolution, including managing outside counsel, developing budgets, and presenting reports to senior management. This role requires an individual with deep substantive legal knowledge, exceptional judgment, and impeccable communication skills. You will lead internal investigations, advise on regulatory inquiries, and craft creative settlement strategies that align with the company's business objectives. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our litigation management processes and play a key role in mentoring junior members of the legal team.

Tanggung Jawab
- Manage a docket of complex commercial litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters across the Asia Pacific region.
- Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- Provide proactive legal risk assessment and counseling to business units on litigation trends, contractual disputes, and regulatory enforcement actions.
- Oversee and manage outside counsel relationships, including budget adherence, performance evaluation, and staffing.
- Conduct internal investigations related to litigation and pre-litigation claims, ensuring timely and thorough documentation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate settlement agreements, pleadings, and other critical legal documents.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Risk Management, Finance, and Human Resources to address legal issues impacting the business.
- Report to the Global Head of Litigation on case status, financial exposure, and strategic recommendations.
Kualifikasi
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction, or equivalent legal qualification in Singapore/the UK (e.g., LLB with Bar).
- Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably gained at a top-tier law firm and in-house legal department.
- Deep experience managing commercial litigation, class actions, and complex multi-jurisdictional disputes.
- Experience in the real estate, construction, or professional services industries is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advise senior business leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority matters in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, or Japanese) is a significant plus.
