PT Temas Shipping is a leading force in the Indonesian logistics and maritime industry. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Surveyor Container to join our operations team in Jakarta Timur. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our shipping assets, ensuring that all containers meet rigorous safety, quality, and regulatory standards before deployment.
As a Container Surveyor, you will be the frontline expert responsible for inspecting the structural condition of shipping containers, assessing damages, and managing repair estimates. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in maritime logistics who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a keen eye for technical detail. You will work closely with port authorities, depot staff, and operations managers to ensure seamless supply chain fluidity.
Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct thorough structural and aesthetic inspections of shipping containers (Dry, Reefer, and Special Equipment).
- Document container damage and prepare accurate repair estimates in accordance with IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors) standards.
- Verify container cleanliness, structural integrity, and water-tightness before release for cargo loading.
- Monitor and supervise repair processes performed by third-party vendors to ensure quality compliance.
- Maintain precise digital records and photographic evidence of all survey activities using internal tracking systems.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize container turnaround times at the depot.
- Report any safety hazards or non-compliance issues regarding container conditions immediately to the management team.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum Diploma (D3) degree in Maritime, Shipping, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a Container Surveyor or in a similar role within a container depot or shipping line.
- Deep understanding of IICL standards and common container damage types.
- Proficiency in using digital survey tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills with an uncompromising attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding field environment, including port and terminal settings.
- Good communication skills in both Indonesian and English.
- Willingness to work on flexible shifts as required by operational demands.
