We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Third Engineer to join our dynamic engine room team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our vessel’s propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
As a Third Engineer, you will work under the guidance of the Second Engineer to ensure that all mechanical systems are maintained according to international maritime regulations and company policies. Tanggung Jawab
- Operate, monitor, and maintain auxiliary engines, generators, air compressors, and purifiers to ensure continuous vessel performance.
- Perform regular maintenance on boiler systems, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot fuel and lubricating oil systems to prevent mechanical failure.
- Assist the Second Engineer in the preparation and execution of planned maintenance schedules.
- Document all maintenance activities, machinery logs, and technical reports accurately.
- Ensure that the engine room environment adheres to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations (MARPOL).
- Coordinate with deck and engine crew members during bunkering and essential operational maneuvers.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and equipment failures to minimize downtime.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of a Class III Marine Engineer Certificate (ATT III) or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Fourth Engineer or Third Engineer on commercial vessels.
- Strong technical knowledge of marine diesel engines, auxiliary systems, and electrical machinery.
- Valid STCW certificates compliant with international maritime standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced maritime environment.
- Proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation.
