We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Wire-cut & Sinker EDM Machinist to join our established team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. Tanggung Jawab
- Set up, program, and operate Wire-cut and Sinker EDM machines to produce precision parts and tooling according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate electrodes, wires, cutting parameters, and flushing techniques to optimize machining efficiency and surface finish.
- Interpret 2D/3D CAD models and technical blueprints to plan machining sequences and ensure accurate output.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using CMM, profilometers, micrometers, and vision systems.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on EDM equipment and promptly troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering and tooling teams to refine processes and recommend improvements for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine logs, downtime reports, and quality documentation.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
Kualifikasi
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating Wire-cut EDM and/or Sinker EDM machines is required.
- Strong knowledge of EDM theory, electrical discharge principles, and machining parameters for various materials such as steel, carbide, and ceramics.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, TopSolid, or SmartCAM is highly desirable.
- Must be skilled in using precision measuring instruments and have a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work rotating shifts if necessary and willing to work overtime to meet production deadlines.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English, with good communication and teamwork skills.
