In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the navigation and safe operation of the vessel, with a specific focus on the handling of hazardous oil and chemical cargoes. You will ensure strict compliance with international maritime regulations, including MARPOL, SOLAS, and STCW standards. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who prioritizes safety, possesses strong leadership skills, and is ready to embark on an exciting voyage with a reputable maritime company.
Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in the navigation of the vessel, including maintaining proper lookout and using electronic navigation equipment.
- Oversee the safe loading, discharge, and stowage of oil and chemical products to prevent contamination and ensure cargo integrity.
- Conduct regular safety drills and emergency exercises to ensure the vessel and crew are prepared for any situation.
- Maintain accurate logs and records related to navigation, cargo operations, and crew performance.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on navigation instruments, safety appliances, and cargo handling gear.
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental protection regulations and pollution prevention measures.
- Assist the Chief Mate and Master in the general management and discipline of the crew.
Kualifikasi
- Valid 3rd Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) issued by MARINA or equivalent maritime authority.
- Valid Seafarer's ID and Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Completion of STCW '95 Basic Training and Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats.
- Previous experience working on Oil Tankers or Oilchem Tankers is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bridge watchkeeping procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work on long-term contracts at sea.
