PT. Mahaguna Karya Indonesia is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated GIS Officer to join our growing team in Kalimantan Timur. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing spatial data, performing complex analysis, and generating actionable maps that drive our operational efficiency in the conservation and land management sectors.
As a GIS Officer, you will work closely with field teams to capture, process, and interpret geographic information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cartography, remote sensing, and spatial database management, ensuring that all project data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilized for strategic decision-making. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, maintain, and update spatial databases to support ongoing project requirements.
- Perform spatial data analysis, geoprocessing, and thematic mapping using industry-standard GIS software.
- Support field teams with GPS data acquisition, verification, and integration into existing systems.
- Create high-quality cartographic products for reporting, planning, and stakeholder presentations.
- Conduct remote sensing analysis, including satellite imagery interpretation and land-cover classification.
- Troubleshoot GIS hardware/software issues and ensure data integrity across all digital platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS insights into operational workflows.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Geodesy, Geography, Geomatics, Forestry, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a GIS Officer or similar role, preferably in the conservation or agricultural sector.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, or Global Mapper is essential.
- Familiarity with remote sensing techniques and UAV/drone data processing is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and spatial data standards.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear visual formats.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote/field-office environment.
