Allied Search Pte. Ltd. is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Department (SPED School) to lead our Special Education department in the Central Region. As the Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students by providing strategic leadership and direction to our dedicated team of educators and support staff. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
Key areas of responsibility include curriculum development and implementation aligned with Ministry of Education guidelines, staff supervision and professional development, student welfare and individualized education program management, and effective collaboration with parents, caregivers, and external professionals. You will work closely with the school leadership team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in special education.

Tanggung Jawab
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Special Education department, ensuring alignment with the school's mission and educational philosophy
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve curriculum frameworks aligned with Ministry of Education guidelines and best practices in special education
- Oversee staff recruitment, supervision, professional development, and performance management to build a highly effective teaching team
- Manage student welfare programs and ensure the effective development and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for all students
- Foster strong partnerships with parents, caregivers, and external professionals including therapists, psychologists, and community organizations
- Lead quality assurance initiatives, conduct classroom observations, and implement improvement strategies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure optimal utilization of facilities and materials
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and Ministry of Education policies
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a closely related field from a recognized institution
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in special education or mainstream settings with special needs focus, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Proven track record of success in a SPED school environment with comprehensive understanding of various special needs categories including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and specific learning difficulties
- Strong knowledge of MOE curriculum frameworks, assessment methodologies, and certification requirements for special education programs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse groups
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop a multidisciplinary team of educators and support staff in a collaborative environment
- In-depth understanding of evidence-based teaching methodologies, intervention strategies, and accommodation techniques for students with special needs
- Singapore teaching qualification such as PGDE, Diplom in Special Education, or equivalent professional certification is highly advantageous
