We are seeking a strategic, highly motivated Manager, Music Licensing and Partnerships to join our dynamic team in Singapore. In this critical role, you will lead complex negotiations and cultivate deep, strategic relationships with major and independent record labels, music publishers, and collective management organizations (CMOs) specifically across the Korea and Japan markets.
You will be responsible for securing comprehensive licensing agreements that fuel the creator economy and drive user engagement. Working cross-functionally with Product, Legal, and Marketing teams, you will identify new partnership opportunities, analyze market trends, and champion the rights of rightsholders while advancing TikTok's business objectives.

- Lead negotiations and secure new licensing and partnership agreements with record labels, music publishers, and rights societies in Korea and Japan.
- Manage and grow strategic relationships with key music industry stakeholders across the region, including major labels, indie labels, and publishing houses.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities to enhance TikTok's music ecosystem and creator monetization.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to align on partnership strategy and execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the music industry in Korea and Japan.
- Analyze data and financial metrics to optimize deal structures and report on partnership performance to senior leadership.
- Represent TikTok at industry conferences and events, building the company's brand within the music community in Asia.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or JD strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in music licensing, business development, or entertainment law, preferably at a technology company, record label, or music publisher.
- Deep understanding of the music industry landscape, copyright law, and digital licensing models in Korea and Japan.
- Fluency in Korean and/or Japanese is highly preferred; business proficiency in English is required.
- Proven track record of negotiating and closing complex, multi-million dollar licensing agreements.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to structure and evaluate complex business deals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
- Passionate about music, technology, and the creator economy with a network of contacts in the APAC music industry.
