Are you a seasoned Compliance professional looking to make a significant impact in the fast-paced world of global payments? Checkout.com is seeking a dynamic Manager, Regulatory Compliance to join our high-performing team in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Regulatory Compliance, you will be the strategic lead for our APAC regulatory framework, ensuring our innovative financial products operate within the highest governance standards.
In this critical role, you will act as the primary interface between Checkout.com and key financial regulators across the Asia-Pacific region. You will influence the product roadmap, lead high-stakes compliance audits, and foster a culture of integrity as we continue to scale our footprint in one of the world's most complex regulatory landscapes.
This position requires a deep understanding of payment services, anti-money laundering (AML) protocols, and the ability to translate complex legislative requirements into actionable business strategies. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and oversee all regulatory compliance activities across APAC, ensuring alignment with regional and global policies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regional financial regulators and supervisory bodies in Singapore and beyond.
- Manage regulatory reporting obligations, licensing applications, and ongoing monitoring requirements.
- Provide expert compliance guidance to internal stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify, measure, and mitigate compliance-related risks within the payment ecosystem.
- Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and examinations, coordinating responses and remediation efforts.
- Keep abreast of emerging regulatory trends and legislative changes in the APAC fintech sector and provide strategic briefings to senior leadership.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional compliance certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) are highly preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within a payments, fintech, or Tier-1 banking environment.
- Proven track record of managing relationships with financial regulators (e.g., MAS).
- Deep technical knowledge of APAC regulatory frameworks, AML/CTF, and payment service licensing requirements.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and implement robust internal controls.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present complex topics to senior management.
