Are you a passionate educator or experienced editor with a flair for Mathematics? Scholastic is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Managing Editor (Maths) to join our team in Paya Lebar. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of high-quality, impactful Mathematics educational materials that reach students across the region.
As our Managing Editor, you will bridge the gap between curriculum design and content production. You will be tasked with acquiring new pedagogical knowledge rapidly, managing complex publication schedules, and ensuring that every product meets Scholastic's world-class standards for accuracy and engagement. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the end-to-end editorial lifecycle for Mathematics educational products, from conceptualization to final print.
- Collaborate with authors, subject matter experts, and illustrators to ensure high-quality content delivery.
- Review and edit manuscripts for pedagogical accuracy, clarity, and age-appropriateness.
- Develop and maintain project timelines to ensure all publication deadlines are met efficiently.
- Apply new curriculum standards and pedagogical research to existing product lines.
- Coordinate with internal departments including design, marketing, and sales to align product strategy.
- Maintain consistent brand voice and editorial standards across all Maths publications.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in educational publishing, specifically within the STEM or Mathematics vertical.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional grasp of English grammar and mathematical terminology.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to editorial challenges.
- Ability to interpret curriculum frameworks and instructional design principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
