About the Role
The Municipal Government of Naguilian, La Union, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midwife I to join our local health unit. This is a vital frontline role focused on providing essential maternal and child health services to our community members. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a significant role in improving public health outcomes and ensuring that every mother and child in Naguilian receives the care they deserve.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Municipal Health Officer and will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. From conducting prenatal check-ups to facilitating health education programs in various barangays, your work will directly impact the well-being of our residents. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform prenatal, natal, and postnatal care to ensure the safety and health of mothers and infants.
- Assist in normal spontaneous deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
- Administer essential immunizations to infants, children, and pregnant women as part of the National Immunization Program.
- Conduct regular home visits and community health monitoring within assigned barangays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, health charts, and municipal health statistics.
- Provide comprehensive family planning counseling and reproductive health services.
- Facilitate health education seminars and nutritional programs for local communities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for emergency referrals and specialized treatments.
Kualifikasi
- Completion of a recognized Midwifery course from an accredited institution.
- Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license as a Registered Midwife (RA 1080).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to speak local dialects (Ilocano) preferred.
- Physically fit and willing to travel to remote areas/barangays within Naguilian.
- High level of professional integrity and commitment to public service.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer literacy for the maintenance of electronic health records.
