Are you a seasoned forestry professional looking to make a tangible impact on global climate change? We are seeking a dedicated Operations Supervisor - Forest Carbon to spearhead our field operations in South Kalimantan. In this role, you will be at the forefront of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), managing complex carbon sequestration projects that balance environmental integrity with operational excellence.
As a key leader on-site, you will bridge the gap between high-level carbon credit strategies and ground-level execution. You will oversee a diverse team of field technicians and community liaisons to ensure that our reforestation and conservation efforts meet rigorous international standards such as Verra (VCS) and CCB. Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise day-to-day field operations, including reforestation, nursery management, and forest protection activities.
- Coordinate Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) data collection to ensure accurate carbon stock assessment.
- Lead and mentor field teams, ensuring all activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and ensure project sustainability.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing regular progress reports to regional management.
- Oversee the implementation of carbon standard requirements (VCS/CCB) at the ground level.
- Maintain equipment, logistics, and supply chains necessary for remote field operations.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in forest management, plantation operations, or carbon project development.
- Strong understanding of carbon sequestration principles and international carbon credit standards.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage field crews in remote environments.
- Proficiency in GIS software, GPS data collection, and field monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Willingness to be based in South Kalimantan and work in challenging outdoor terrains.
