Scanmar Maritime Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Second Mate to join our dynamic maritime team. We specialize in manning a diverse range of vessels, including bulk carriers, container ships, general cargo vessels, passenger ships, reefers, ro-ro vessels, chemical tankers, product tankers, and oil tankers.

Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Master and Chief Mate in the daily operations of the vessel, ensuring strict compliance with international maritime laws and company policies.
- Perform navigational duties, including plotting courses, monitoring radar and electronic charts, and maintaining accurate navigational records.
- Supervise and oversee cargo handling operations, ensuring proper stowage, securing, and distribution according to cargo plans.
- Conduct regular safety drills, emergency preparedness exercises, and inspections to maintain high safety standards.
- Ensure the cleanliness and seaworthiness of the ship's hull, superstructure, and associated equipment.
- Monitor and manage the consumption of fuel, water, and stores to ensure efficient resource management.
- Handle administrative duties related to the ship's safety management system (SMS) and statutory reporting.
Kualifikasi
- Certificate of Competency as Second Officer (OOW) with valid STCW certificates (Class 4/2).
- Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness for Seafarers.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective bridge communication.
- Previous experience on general cargo vessels or similar ship types is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling procedures, stability calculations, and cargo plans.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and adhere to strict safety regulations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
