Tanggung Jawab
- Assemble, align, and install metal components for ship construction and repair projects
- Interpret technical blueprints and engineering specifications for precise fitting
- Operate specialized tools (cutting torches, welders, hydraulic presses) with precision
- Ensure all installations comply with maritime safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with engineers and other tradespeople to coordinate complex assemblies
- Conduct quality inspections of fitted components before final installation
- Maintain organized workspaces and proper tool management for efficiency
Kualifikasi
- Minimum 3 years of ship fitting or metal fabrication experience
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics
- Welding certification (SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW preferred)
- Knowledge of marine-grade materials and corrosion prevention
- OSHA safety certifications or equivalent maritime safety training
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces and elevated positions
- High school diploma or technical college certification in shipbuilding
