We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Railway Technician to join our infrastructure team in Bukit Chagar, Johor. This role is pivotal in supporting the RTS (Rapid Transit System) operations, ensuring the structural integrity of our viaducts and trackside assets. As a key technical member, you will be responsible for onsite maintenance, structural monitoring, and ensuring that all rail operations adhere to the highest safety and performance standards.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the long-term reliability of a major cross-border transport link. You will work closely with engineering teams to oversee structural works, perform routine inspections, and execute preventative maintenance protocols to minimize service disruptions. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of RTS railway viaducts and associated trackside civil structures.
- Supervise structural works performed by contractors to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety regulations.
- Monitor railway infrastructure integrity and report any anomalies or safety hazards promptly.
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks as scheduled by the engineering management team.
- Maintain detailed documentation and digital logs of all maintenance activities and asset conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues affecting rail operations.
- Ensure all site activities strictly follow workplace safety (OSHA) and rail safety protocols.
- Assist in emergency response procedures to minimize downtime during service interruptions.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in railway infrastructure maintenance, civil construction, or structural asset management.
- Strong understanding of railway safety standards and structural inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, operational environment.
- Valid certification in relevant technical areas or workplace safety (e.g., NIOSH/CIDB) is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts or weekends as required for maintenance windows.
